Happiness the greatest wealth
Are you truly happy? Are you really satisfied with your life?
If you are, then it is of great importance. Happiness is the greatest wealth that you can own. You, and you alone can gain it, or lose it - no one else can do it for you; by the same token, no one can take it away from you either.
We either grieve over what we have lost, or what we do not have, and are not satisfied with what we do have. People would not be content even if it rained gold
The root of unhappiness is desire. So, to be happy, we have to make every effort to control our desire, no matter how large or small. Running after every want, need, and whim sends happiness speeding away from us.
So, be satisfied with what you have, rather than yearning for what you don't
. Just as night follows day, so too will happiness follow you throughout karmic journey.
The Dalai Lama
It was great to listen to Dalai Lama when he was in Perth recently.
We can learn a lot from his teachings and it can help us a lot to lead a happy life. Let me bring up some of his sayings:
“If you have a problem, then look for a solution with out worring. If there is no solution then do not worry.”
“The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of wellbeing.”
“Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength.”

Beautiful words from my clients
Thank you so much for seeing me and spending so much of your precious time with me. I have to say I left you home feeling pretty wonderful and have felt very much at peace within myself since then.
I listened to the consultancy , and I would like to thank you for deep father-like advices that you gave me. At some point tears came to my eyes. I will try to act according to your words.
I just wanted to write to say hello and to give you a short up-date,
how much you have affected and changed my life.
The first time I wrote to you, I was a very weak girl who was always
thinking negative and letting other people decide on whether I was going to be happy or not. But after my phone conversation with you I have really tried hard to become stronger and to follow what you said to me and not always be negative, and to live a more spiritual life.
My astrology reading has given me renewed hope and confidence in my own abilities and was certainly evident in my interactions with people during my holidays. I have listened to my reading twice since our visit and each time I hear something different and new.
Vedic Astrology was entirely new for me but it felt like the right way to go to get some insight into what is happening in my life and what should I do about my financial troubles. Your reading about the past especially the last few years was spot on.
How great it is to help the needy and poor!
Last April I was very happy to help two poverty stricken families in Sri Lanka. Whenever I see the following photos, I feel very happy.
This family with 6 children and the grandmother were living in a 50 year old mud house. Last year I managed to rebuild this house in cement blocks. The mud walls were about to collapse and I was worried about the family living there.
This mother is 26 and having 6 children. Her husband is a bus driver and earns only $8 a day. I always help them a lot and have been doing so for the last 20 years.
Until mid this year, they were using very primitive kerosene oil lamps which were a safety hazard, especially for the children. The children had to read books with the tiny kerosene oil lamp. This year when I was there I managed to get electricity to the house and to put 5 bulbs, one plug point, a trip switch and a main switch with a fuse board and to get the supply from the main road. (the total cost was only $400)
This old couple
is very poor and living in a mud house and her tiny kitchen collapsed and she was cooking outside the house. She had to bend down and cook and when it was raining she was unable to cook. It was like this for about a year. Last April, I managed to put up a cement and concrete kitchen with a kitchen bench so that she did not to bend and cook.
Today she is very happy and the kitchen is stronger than the mud house and also big enough even to store things. (the cost was only $ 500).
Often I help an orphanage in Sri Lanka. There are 30 children and when I was there in April there were 12 on that day as the others had gone out.
I felt wonderful being able to take them talcum powder, soap and a cake for tea. I give money to the orphanage management to spend for other expenses.
I also spend monthly for the education of 2 poor children who are in year 10 in the village school. ( the annual cost is only $ 50 per child)
Most of the time we spend a lot just to fulfill our wants and desires. How great would it be if we spend a part of that money to help the poor and give happiness and the basic necessities to them.
At this point I must thank my clients who donated money towards these projects. Specially I must thank one of my very spiritual client in Singapore. She was very generous to donate S$ 1000 in June this year. With that money we were able to help a family with 3 children. They were living in a very small house and only 50% of the house had a roof. By spending $ 275 we were able to cover the rest of the house.
Another family was living in a house which they built about 15 years ago but never had money to put up windows and doors. Day and night it was fully open. You can imagine how hard it is to live in a house with out window and locks, especially in a country with heavy monsoon rains and mosquitoes. This September we managed to put all the windows and the doors. (the cost was $ 930).
If you wish to get involved in a tiny project to help a poor family, please keep in touch. I can organize and help you to be involved in such projects.
